Mother’s Estuary
Whispering wind forming
harmonies in the reeds
chirping and whistles
layer sounds, loving breeze
Liquid life running free
setting our melody
goldenrod and butterflys
dancing through the air
Trailing in the grass
my fingers softly rustle
golden sunlight
setting a lilac scene
Listening to the call of nature
her soprano soul
As tadpoles flit in
my special shore leave
Everything Inside of my Heart
I am not allowing you
this cold, to penetrate
and yet it comes anyway
setting inside me, my veins
freezing over
your solid gaze rendering me
cold and still, silent
waiting to see what you will do
now that I’m too cold
I can’t move, can’t blink
cannot fight your wishes
You toy with me
breathing warm words
always to pull away as I thaw
my heart, my ice blood
coursing through me, chilling my thoughts
your gaze leaves me
and I finally know longing
missing you, your control
your caricature of caring
I wander the heat, searching
Alone
Missing You..
I find this time without you very haunting.
Your brown eyes are in my memory, watching my every move
as I wonder what you’re thinking of. If it’s me that you’re thinking of.
